Premier Wen Jiabao held five symposiums from Jan 22 to Feb 1 to solicit opinions on a central government report to be delivered at this year's plenary session of the National People's Congress, which is scheduled to open on March 5.

Representatives from various fields, including democratic parties, business, science, education, health, culture and sports sectors attended the symposiums.

On Jan 30, Premier Wen also visited a village in Chengde city of Hebei province to ask for farmers' opinion on the work report.
