Hebei plans to invest several hundred billion yuan to develop 120 boutique tourism programs.

According to reports in local media, as part of its efforts to accelerate the development of the tourism industry in the province, Hebei plans to invest several hundred billion yuan to develop 120 boutique tourism programs.

The 120 boutique programs will include expansion projects of Shijiazhuang Tianshanhai World, Bailu Springs, and the Motianling Ski Resorts.

The provincial government aims to generate 200 billion yuan in tourism revenue by 2015, and to increase the number of tourism-related jobs by more than 30,000 annually. Tourism value added revenue is expected to contribute more than 5% of the province's GDP.

In addition, the reports say cost-effective and green measures will be promoted in the development of the tourism sector.
