Hebei’s six cities sign strategic pact with Hebei Port

Six cities of central and southern Hebei province signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hebei Port Group in Cangzhou on August 17.

Officials from Handan, Xingtai, Hengshui, Shijiazhuang, Cangzhou and Baoding agreed to take advantage of the Huanghua Port and central and southern Hebei’s industrial foundations to propel economic growth of their cities.

Huanghua Port is located on the coast of Bohai, 90 km away from the east of Cangzhou city in Hebei.

According to the agreement, Cangzhou Municipal Government representatives and Hebei Port Group members will put the six cities’ economic conditions into consideration in future port construction, geographical layouts and building logistics.

Contracting parties will promote logistics cooperation and share support gained from the policy. Hebei Port Group will provide high-quality services to the six cities, like goods storage and shipment. In return, the six cities will help local companies cooperate with Huanghua Port.

Those involved will advance inland port construction, set up business offices in each other’s jurisdiction and transport high-efficiency goods and materials.

Huanghua Comprehensive Port and the six cities will also establish a mechanism for economic cooperation.
