In order to strengthen cultural ties between Hebei and Taiwan, Hebei province will hold a Hebei culture tour program in Taiwan form August 26 to September 2, 2010.

The Hebei culture tour program will be held subsequently in Taipei, South Kaohsiung county, Changhua county, Hualien county, and Kaohsiung city. Art performances included in the program are divided into three styles: opera performance, variety show, folk arts and crafts show.

Pei Yanling, a famous opera artist, will play the lead in the opera performances. Mr Pei Yanling has performed in Taiwan four times and he enjoys a good reputation there.

In addition, an erhu solo of Taiwan songs, as well as Hebei Clapper and famous traditional Peking opera will also be performed at the grassroots level in Taiwan. In the folk arts and crafts exhibition, a variety of art shows which were included in the national intangible cultural heritage items will be performed live, to present the outstanding works of Hebei folk art to the people of Taiwan.
