The 15th Chinese City Expo opens Friday in Langfang municipality, north China’s Hubei Province and runs until Sept. 6 at Langfang International Convention Center.

Its goal is to promote good ideas, models and technologies of city development.

The City Expo combines two events: the 15th International Eco-Construction Materials and Urban Construction Exhibition and the 3rd Hebei Urban Planning and Construction Exposition.

Activities include forums, exhibitions, project presentations and signing ceremonies. Four theme exhibitions will present examples of harmonious cities, eco-constructional materials and technologies, infrastructure coordination and Hebei cities.

The 2010 United Nations Millennium Development Goals City Forum will be held at the same time.
