"Inviting the moon" in Tangshan
2010-09-19

In Tangshan city, the best place to admire the full moon is the "Inviting the Moon" (Yao Yue) Island.

The name of this island is from the poet line "Raising my cup, I asked the bright moon" written by Li Bai, a famous poet in Tang Dynasty (618-907). Now eating the moon cakes and having some drops of drink has become the favorite activity for Mid-autumn Festival for Tangshan citizens.

Besides, the Phoenix Pavilion is also a nice place to admire the fine contrast between the bright moon and shining lake.
