The 2013 Rockwell Automation on the Move, co-hosted by Rockwell Automation Co and PartnerNetworkTM, kicked off in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province on March 13. The “Rockwell Automation University” project also started together with the activity.

Rockwell Automation, which is the world's largest industrial automation company, had its latest intelligent manufacturing solutions on display at Rockwell Automation on the Move, which attracted more than 700 personnel from the province’s major industrial and mine enterprises. Rockwell Automation said it hopes to use the activity to bring more advanced “intelligent manufacturing” concepts here and expects to help a lot in transforming traditional industries and upgrading them.

Representatives of the “Rockwell Automation University” project said the company had signed “university cooperation project” agreements with several Hebei universities and that it will provide more than 6 million yuan in advanced equipment and nurturing talented local people. Ke Siqi, the president and GM of Rockwell Automation Greater China, said that the move is a significant one in speeding up the industrial transformation and upgrading and Hebei’s development and that the company hopes to help do that with its leading intelligent manufacturing solutions and vast experience.
