Three thousand families in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province, received a total of 1.5 million yuan in subsidies at a ceremony organized by Shijiazhuang City Charity Federation on June 26.

The subsidies were offered in the form of household appliance vouchers which the families could use to buy TV sets, refrigerators and air conditioners of designated brands with a discount of 500 yuan, between July 4th and 7th, said Xu Tongyang, vice president of the federation.

The activity is part of the Four Seasons Charity Project, held by the federation this year, which also aims to support the work of charities around the province.
