The tomb of the daughter of Yuan Dynasty founder Kublai Khan is located in Guyuan County and is believed to be the only royal tomb from the Yuan Dynasty (1206-1368) ever discovered in China, a bureau spokesman said on Tuesday.

Thirty tombs have been found in the area surrounding Princess Yuelie's tomb, archaeologists said. Her husband, son and daughter-in-laws are also buried in these tombs, according to archaeologists.

Before being verified as a burial area, the site was believed to be a summer resort for the imperial family during the Liao Dynasty (907-1125).
