The first Hebei Flowers and Garden Expo, after a year of preparation, will open on May 1.

The expo, themed, "Gardening in everyday life" will incorporate the idea of ecology, a low-carbon cost and smart living. It is also a platform to show the culture and development of Hebei to the public.

The expo park covers an area of 800,000 square meters with seven zones including Yanzhao Park, Health Park, Waterfront Park and Mountain Recreational Park.

The highlights of the park are the 2,000-sqm square, a man-made lake with a giant fountain that can screen water curtain movies and 30,000-sqm lawns.

The final preparations are underway for the first Hebei Flowers and Garden Expo. The expo merchandise, prints and clothing are being manufactured. It has also completed the recruitment of hundreds volunteers and ensured the availability of 23 sightseeing buses. The ticketing, advertising and transportation is also being organized.
