The Hebei Provincial Museum in Shijiazhuang of Hebei province opened a Qingxiling (Qing Xi Tomb) Photo Exhibition in its Exhibition Hall No.1 on April 21, with Zhang Lifang, head of the provincial Culture Heritage Administration, Ma Laishun, head of the provincial Broadcasting Station, and Zhao Xuefeng, deputy director of the provincial Tourism Administration taking part in the opening ceremony.

The Qingxiling is located on the southern slope of Yongning (Everlasting serenityl) Mountain, in Yi County, Hebei province, about 120 kilometers from Beijing. It is one of the largest imperial tombs from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The exhibition caps off a three-months-long “Lekai Cup” Qingxiling Photo competition, which ran from last December to this March and attracted many photo enthusiasts from across the country, and more than 2,000 photo submissions.

The curators chose 100 photos for the exhibition, after an extensive, strict evaluation process. These works demonstrate Qingxiling’s history and culture, its architecture, folk customs, and its beauty and harmony from various angels.

The exhibition is expected to last two weeks and is open to the public during the May Day holiday for their appreciation.
